RENTAL CONDITIONS

RATES DO NOT INCLUDE:
• Fuel
• Obligatory Insurance (obligatory by law & cannot be wavered)
• Other expenses.

PAYMENT:
• VISA credit card (only)
• Deposit by mailing a USA check
• Wire Transfer (at customer's cost).
• A security deposit blocked from a Mayor Credit card is required upon pick up.

RESTRICTIONS:
• Customer must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid and updated driver's license.
• All vehicles are restricted to transit only within Costa Rica.

FUEL CHARGES:
• The car must be returned with the same amount of fuel specified in the contract, otherwise, the balance amount will be charged.

ADDITIONAL HOURS:
• 1 hour tolerance after deadline
• After tolerance, next 3 hours have an hourly fee charged.
• For over 3 hours after tolerance, an extra day with insurance will be charged.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
• Minimum 3 days rental.
• Weekly rate applies after 7 days.
• Daily rate comprise 24 hours.
• A passport and a valid drivers license are required.
• Daily rate applies from 1 to 6 days rental.
• In case of "NO SHOW", first day of rent will be charged and/or CANCELLATION Policy will be applied.
• Airport fees may apply in some cases
• ALL RENTALS ARE SUBJECT TO TERMS & AGREEMENTS

TERMS & AGREEMENTS

Final Payment:

Excluding the particular dates mentioned above, final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival in Costa Rica. Bookings confirmed within 30 days of arrival require payment in full within 5 working days.

Cancellation Policy:

CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. reserves the right to cancel any reservation which could affect the company in any way (libel / slander, economical loss, or any other).

Late bookings:

CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. does take late bookings but they should be paid as soon as the reservations are confirmed.

Payment:

In order to provide the outmost security to all parties involved payments from banks outside of the United States we require payment by a U.S.A. BANKING SYSTEM CHECK in USD dollars or to purchase a USA BANKING SYSTEM CHECK at your local bank and then mail it to us . Expenses for purchase / mailing checks and wire transfers commissions are not covered by CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A.

Documentation:

All travelers need to have a valid passport (visa is required for some countries). All car rentals require at least one driver with a VALID driver's license and must be older than 21 years of age. It is the responsibility of all those traveling to obtain information and proper documentation. CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. and its agents accept no responsibility for changes in documentation requirements nor for any departure or entry denials. Passengers denied boarding for lack of documentation or any other reason will receive no refund. Full cancellation policies apply to cancellations due to incorrect documentation.

Schedule Changes and Delays:

All reservations are based on the best information available at the time of confirmation. Due to the nature of international travel changes to schedules and itineraries may be necessary and may also prevent some of the scheduled activities, accommodations or rentals to be completed. NO REFUNDS CAN BE GIVEN FOR SUCH ELIMINATION. We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to changes or delays in airline, hotel, tour or rental overbooking, defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveler.

Responsibility:

All travel documents and vouchers issued by CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. and its agents are subject to the terms and conditions of the supplier, to the laws of their countries, and to international conventions between countries. The traveler agrees that CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. , its agents, affiliates and employees, shall not be liable for any damages and losses incurred, or any other causes not within the power of CRT Rent a Car/ TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. We do not accept economic and civil responsibilities for losses or accidental expenses due to car or hotel overbooking s , defaults, weather, strikes, sickness, war, riots, theft, acts of nature, vandalism, medical and hospitalization expenses or any other causes not within the power of CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. All such losses or expenses are the responsibility and are assumed by the traveler. All participants expressly wave any and all rights which one may have against CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. its agents, officers, or employees caused by the negligence of such persons in connection with foregoing. Under no circumstance is CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. to be construed as a carrier or common carrier under contract for safe passage of the traveler or for luggage and/or belongings. By enrolling in and tendering payment for any and all services participants agree to accept and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions on this Web Site. No other person other than an officer of CRT Rent a Car / TURISMO EXPERTOS de COSTA RICA S.A. , by document in writing , is authorized to waive or alter any condition with the foregoing.
